How do I remove Virus Protector?

Question

I have a Windows XP home addition and my mother accidentally downloaded this thing from the internet. before you answer this I CANNOT ACCESS ANYTHING BUT THIS VIRUS. i can't access my desktop, task manager, i can't download anything from the internet. i can't download anything via disc or any other source. the virus is the only screen i can see. I have tried restoring my computer to an earlier date but when i click next to shut down and restore the computer will not do anything!!
It seems like i have tried everything if you can help i would be extremely grateful.

Do a quick scan with Malwarebytes its very effective and free, you may have to download it to a USB memory stick as you are unable to get on the internet.



If Malwarebytes doesn't remove the infection try Hitman Pro it scans with five different anti-virus engines at once, simply activate the 30 day free trial then once you PC has been cleaned remove it.

Go to safe mode by pressing f8 at machine startup. Restore your system to an earlier date.

YAY I KNOW LOL if you have lime wire & or itunes or any kind of music prgram uninstall them and keep them uninstalled it should take it away
