No, Virus Protector is a fake/rogue antivirus, it just says you have lots of viruses and you'll need to pay to remove them because they want your money.

If the warnings keep appearing automatically, it means like your computer has been infected by it. To remove it, try using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware which is free & designed to detect & remove such fake/rogue antivirus. It can be downloaded from its official website:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Run a scan (preferably in Safe Mode*), then remove whatever it detects.

*If you don't know how to get into safe mode:

1. Reboot (if it's running) / Start your computer.

2. As soon as it turns on (before getting into Windows), press the F8 (or F5 if it doesn't work) key repeatedly, until a menu appears.

3. Choose safe mode.

Hope this helps :)

No it is a scam. Virus Protector is a rogue anti-virus program that reports false threats or infections on your computer and then prompts you to pay for a full version of the program to protect yourself and to remove the infections which don't even exist.

To remove this crap: Download and run MalwareBytes Anti-Malware. MBAM is known to be rather useful in detecting and removing malware infections. There is a free version of the software available:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Once downloaded, close all programs and windows on your computer.

Double-click on the icon on your desktop named mbam-setup.exe.

This will start the installation of MalwareBytes Anti-malware onto your computer.

When the installation begins, keep following the prompts in order to continue with the installation process.

Do not make any changes to default settings and when the program has finished installing, make sure a checkmark is placed next to “Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware” and Launch “Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware”. Then click Finish.

MalwareBytes Anti-malware will now automatically start and you will see a message stating that you should update the program before performing a scan. If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

Now make sure the “Perform quick scan” option is selected and then click on the Scan button to start scanning your computer. When the scan is finished a message box will appear that it has completed scanning successfully. Click OK. Now click “Show Results”

Ensure all entries have a checkmark at their far left and click “Remove Selected” button to remove what has been found.

If this fails, or if you believe your computer to be infected still, there are forums on the Internet where trained specialists help to completely disinfect your PC at NO cost. One such forum is:

Hope you get your problem solved!

It's fake. And do you have ViPRE? It's a great security program. I think that's what your talking about. And also, don't download/pay for "Virus Protector." It's fake, a scam, and will infect your computer.

It's malware if you install it it downloads a lot of trojans, viruses, and spyware to your computer. If you did install it you can remove it by following the instructions in in the link below.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-virus-protector

If you did install it it will disable your current antivirus software so it will not be able to detect the malware.

if you are not aware of the software that has popped up, then it would be best not to open it. if you do and its not a scam, then you should get rid of the viruses ASAP. these viruses can cause damage to your computer and its files. e.g., it can make your computer explode, files corrupt, everything you download can get mixed up and worst of all, your computer could shut down FOREVER. if you have any SERIOUS viruses you should see a computer technician or programmer. also known as a 'nerd' though they are very useful :) hope this helped.
