Question:
How do I get rid of "Antispyware Soft"?
2010-05-24 17:18:04 UTC
This program is not letting me do anything. It's lying and saying my laptop is infected when it isn't, and trying to bully me into buying its software.

I've tried Rkill and Malware remover, and it's not letting me try a system restore at all.

I am frustrated and not sure what to do to get rid of this problem. PLEASE, does anyone know something that can help, or am I just out of luck?

I have a laptop with Windows Vista on it, if that helps with your answer.

To Remove Anti-Spyware Soft from your Computer.

Follow these instructions

Restart You Computer Safe Mode with Networking

1. Log out and reboot your machine.

2. When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.

3. Select Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu.

The main screen allows the user to either clean all temporary files, or select files for cleaning. The program also knows if Firefox and or Opera is being used, and gives the option of cleaning the temporary files associated with those applications.

ATF Cleaner provides the user with a window showing the total bytes freed upon completion. The program is small (36kb), quick to run and no installation required

6. When you're finished Remove Virus, Malware, Trojan, Worm, rogue virus rootkit and Spyware log out and reboot back into normal mode.

Download malwarebytes (free). Keep in mind that this virus will stop u from using internet explorer so the best thing to do is download malwarebytes on another computer, put the 6MB setup file onto a USB stick.

Restart your infected computer, press F8 repeatedly while its loading into windows. U will now enter a screen asking u to go into safe mode. Click onto safe mode.

Run the setup file, and run the malwarebytes application. This takes a few minutes and it clears all malicious spyware that your other anti wares could not find.

Once its done, restart your computer! The problem is solved!

P.S. It happened to me last night and it was a pain. I could not go onto any websites including google as it redirects me to the fraudulent site asking for fraudulent software install. It was also impossible to open any sort of anti-virus software or "remove applications" from control panel. Honestly it was scarey and my first thought was that it was about time that I reformatted my computer...but malwarebytes did the job...all was solved.. !

No, it's not lying -- your laptop IS infected, with the "Antispyware Soft" Virus!!

You need to get a REAL anti-virus program installed. NOD32 is inexpensive, AVG has a free version, I hear Norton has improved (it used to be a huge resource hog), McAfee is good. There are others, and I hope some other answerers see this and give you some good references.

initiate > All classes > upload-ons > equipment equipment > "equipment restoration" this technique restoration does no longer influence your very own information, emails, etc so which you do no longer lose any records from it. a speedy tip for individuals combating this: oftentimes the virus prevents you with the flexibility to open or run particular classes. even nevertheless, good-clicking on the icon and pressing "initiate" or "run" as against double clicking on the laptop icon (or single clicking on the beginning up menu option) controlled to stay away from this block someway. I ran an entire Malwarebytes test two times, as quickly as in usual mode, as quickly as in secure greater, yet this did no longer do away with "XP Antispyware 2010". wish it is helpful!
