Delete most of the program that you think is downloaded to your computer and never open any spam mail.

Best bet is to reprogram your computer back to new settings (full recovery) but make sure to delete all the unneccessary programs that was downloaded. Believed me, my computer got toasted because I failed to delete all the junk before doing the full recovery...

Also avoid downloading any programs that you are not familiar with and that includes chatting with people, that's the easy way for them to send virus in your computer...Try to visit other related questions, as I've send some important answers to other questionaires, Good luck..

For cleaning suspected virus, try www.ccleaner.com/

I used the new Norton 360 version 2.0 to defend virus and spyware, it works very well...

people before you go online make sure you have a security program

one of the best thing always update ,clean install will help, but if you update your anti-virus program it will zap it before it spreads,if the infection is not deep in which can get into your hard drive and wipe away your personnel files.

I think you may have to re-install windows and wipe your hard drive to completely get rid of the virus. It's the only 100% way to be sure!

Or you could buy a security cd, they're stronger.
