I was clicking on emails to delete. One opened up on me. I closed it. Finished deleting emails. Then went into qvc site. Something popped up and said something about a security scan was completed downloading.Didn'tt know what it was talking about so i just hit the x button and kept looking at what i was looking at. then i just went out and a bunch of little things popped up. Don't remember what they said i just started hitting cancel then something else popped up saying to scan or restart i hit restart. It came back up but all the little things popped back up. it does this every time. is this the virus that tears up your computer so it can't be fixed. I'm on my husbands now. I belive it said ups tracking #

Try this:

Firstly, boot your computer to the Safe Mode menu screen. You do this by repeatedly pressing F8 as soon as you boot up. Once there, use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode with Networking. Continue to boot from there, by pressing Enter. You will now see some drivers being loaded. There will be a pause at some point. This usually lasts for no more than 30 seconds.

If that's successful, download and run TDSSKiller.exe from Kaspersky Lab. It's tiny, and takes just a minute to run. It hunts down and kills a specific family of rootkits:

Regardless of the results, download the free version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM). Install it, get updates and run a full scan (still in Safe Mode). This is a direct download link. Copy and paste it into your browser’s address bar, and press Enter.

After that, boot normally and run another full scan with MBAM. It will detect any malware that wasn’t running in Safe Mode.

If the problem still exists, download and run the free Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool:

You should now delete TDSSKiller.exe and the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, as updated versions are often made available. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware can be easily uninstalled, should you wish to do so, but it may prove to be beneficial in the future.

Hope this helps.

Looks like you picked up a malware. It is one of those programs that pretend to be legitimate scanners and tells you that your computer is infected when it itself is the infection. Run this immediately and do a full scan:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

It has a 14-day free trial version of the Pro. When it expires, it converts to the free version which will only scan your computer when you say so. It would be nice if you get the Pro version for real-time protection against malware/spyware. It only costs $24.95 and that's already for a lifetime.

Note that MBAM is not a substitute for an antivirus. You still need one. If you don't have a good AV, use this for free:

It is possible that the infection you are trying to remove will not allow you to download files on the infected computer. If this is the case, then you will need to download the files on another computer(CLEAN) and then transfer them to the infected computer. You can transfer the files via a CD/DVD, external drive, or USB flash drive.
