Vista can be considered more secure than XP?

What is he trying to say.And how does vista make the OS secure than XP? Is there more secure layers that the malware can not go to the other layer? Can the OS sniff the code out and block the bad code?

Vista is more secure than XP. It's also several times more annoying and doesn;t work with a lot of programs. What vista does is it will ask for your explicit permission when a program (Virus or legit) tries to access ur files. That means anything you do on that computer (run a program, install, uninstall, etc) Vista will pop up and say something along the lines of "Did u do this? Click yes to continue what ur doing."

Almost all systems can be made secure. However, for ease-of-use, Vista may have easier security filtering than XP. Vista and XP are fairly secure (with all updates and service packs). There are many things a person can do to make their system more secure than an out of the box system, some are simple, and some are more advanced.



However, all said, Vista and XP are about the same - out of the box.

as much as I hate to admit. yes Vista is more secure than XP. I would say that UAC is not the only reason, its that Vista is a culmination of many fixes since. It also introduces new problems but I think it would be a wise thing to say that yes, Vista is more secure than XP. Do I like vista? No.

i got vista it's only a little bit more secure than xp. one thing that s easily noticeable is the dramatic speed increase when a pc is upgraded to vista.

Vista sucks xp sucks.windows 7 sucks.. win 95/98/linux/ubuntu/BSD/Novell are the best.... u cant compaire vista xp nt 7 2000 xp pro etc to windows 95/98 linux, linux ubuntu, BSD unix, Novell Linux.
