I have a paid suscription to PC Tools Internet Security Suite which stops:

-Virus
-Spyware
-Trojans
-Spam
-Firewall
-Malware

and I did a full scan and it found nothing, but then I did a full scan with microsoft malicious software removal tool and it found 2 malware infections that pc tools did not catch. How come?

Malwarebytes give you 30 days of real time protection. After that if you don't want to buy it, then you have the free scanner. If you are looking for a program that will protect your computer a 100% Sorry it's not out there. But if you spend some time learning how malware infects a computer, then you can get very close to 100% protection. If you don't update all your programs, like Java, Adobe reader , adobe flash, media players. You leave security holes for malware to enter your computer, then you have to hope the malware is not something new that your anti-virus does not have a Signature for. If it is something new, then you are infected. Many users get infected this way, even with a very good anti-virus program. So if the users would have stayed on top of the programs on their computers they would not have been infected. Downloading from P2P sites, another thing users do. Doesn't matter if they scan the file before opening, if it's new malware they get infected, they do high risk things and then blame their anti-virus software for not protecting them. You could contact any anti-virus software company and they will tell you the same thing don't use P2P. There was nothing wrong with your security software but I bet you do one of the things I just brought up. Here's a link telling you about the malicious software tool

No virus program is 100%. You can only have 1 virus program installed but you can use other online scans to catch what the program misses.

And as for spyware programs they are't 100% either. You should have a few installed on your computer. If one program doesn't catch the pests hopefully the next program will.

A perfect program just not out there and probably will never be. We have to take other measures.

Make sure you have a firewall/router.

Setup your programs to scan and update automatically.

This crap is time consuming!!!

pc tools are trash.security suites are great but no program is perfect.if you want a very good security suite then go with kaspersky.keep your malwarebytes. possibly add superantispyware free and run a good firewall. get rid of pc tools.worthless.

Not all security suites find all bad stuff. Since you don't want any offers of additional products (for free) I won't list them. But that's the answer.

There's roughly 100 Windows viruses etc. released daily. So unless you update your program every 24 hours. something will get through.

Maybe PC tools don't detect those viruses. Not all anti-viruses detect the same viruses and spyware.

no antispyware or antivirus is 100%

most antivirus are around 90%-97% effective

however from my experiences most antispywares are about 60% accurate

also some security software is overprotective and can flag things as "potentially malicious"
