My house has a secured wireless network (for internet) and I just recently got an ipod touch and in order to access the internet and such on my ipod, I need the password to the network. None of my family members know what it is or how to get it, where can I find the password for the network (on the main computer) ?

Hopefully that makes sense, I'm not a computer person :x

Thanks!

Hey.

Go to the "router" (It's usually a white, grey, blue or black box where the internet comes in through the wall from the telephone line)

Lift it up and look under it. It should say something like "Network ID: Richnet" and undernieth that the password for that network.

Hope this helps :) x

-----EDIT-----

Maybe someone in your family has changed the password? Ask everyone to make sure. If they haven't, hold the reset button for 5 seconds, then you should be able to use the code written on the bottom of the router :)

When you hooked up the wireless network (or someone else) it should have given you a password. Try looking it up or asking a pro. My dad is a genious with the computer, and he hacked the password. XD

if you have a laptop that is configured to access the secure wireless, you can download a piece of software call wireless key view and recover the passwords that are already stored on that computer

the link for the download is specified underneath
