Every time I log on to my computer, the date and time are always changed!! I bought an antivirus program (Norton), did a scan, and it found 2 viruses and removed them. I thought that would be the end of this date/time problem, but it's not! It's still doing the same thing and I just can't STAND it anymore!! Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my computer, and what should I do?

soupfine's answer seems like the worst thing that could happen but definitely a possibility. First try to adjust the time zones and then go online to look for specific date/time files that may have been corrupted by the virus.

PS: I wouldn't trust norton to find all the viruses. You should try 2-3 softwares.

The cmos battery is dead. That's a small battery on the motherboard that keeps the time when the computer is off.

First its the battery like they said. Open up the pc and remove it if you want to but you dont have to if you put it to SLEEP intead of turning it off. What happens is when it gets shut down the bios get reset. In SLEEP MODE it doesnt get reset. Where can you buy a battery. Radioshake best buy, Walmart ect.

Try to experiment on your computer's settings and find out more information because that helps out with a lot of problems people face when their technical skills are low or have less use. Don't sit there, do something! No offense or anything.

Your computing gadget has a sprint Battery on its Mainboard to save the configurations like time and date for the BIOS.domicile windows configures itself after that. i could say something befell to the Battery.
