AVG Anti-Virus Scan Time?

Question

Right now as i type its at... 11 hours 7 mins 20 seconds and its scanned 944300 files so far... but comon 11 hours... i ran a full system scan though... and it has found a lot of nasty stuff, 2 different trojans :O and im using the free version, my god if they dare try and make me purchase the software to remove the threats avg has found so far i will get so dam angry lol. Is this scan time normal anyone?

Your scan time is wayyy longer then mine, for me it takes about 3 and a half hours to scan about half the number of your files.



The new AVG (9.0) is a lot faster though.



Oh, and AVG will not make you buy the software to remove the viruses.

Depending on you system specs and how many files you have on your computer and how many other things are running in the background, yes, it could take that long. AVG Free has gotten extremely slow over the past few years for some reason. I know a lot of people would disagree, but I rather like Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus.
