my laptop is captured a virus? What should I do to remove it?

while talking to a girl on msn, she sent me link; I got it and opened it; from now, while chatting with other people on msn, computer sends the same link to them automatically. I have norton antivirus. It scanned the computer but couldn't detect it. A few more scanner I used to detect it, but even if some of them detect it, they didn't remove it, some couldn't even detect it_? help me

You probably have spyware. Download the new Yahoo toolbar with Norton Antispy. If it doesn't work, download Spybot at http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html

First you need to download AVG 7.5 FREE. It's the best anti-virus out there. Also update your browser to IE 7 (it has anti-phishing). Update your Windows too (and turn on your windows firewall & pop-up blocker). Now if that doesn't work Grasshopper, you will need to format your hard drive and reload everything.

P.S. In the future don't click on anything in an IM you are totally UNPROTECTED then. Especially with online Russian hookers!

Run and Save a Log. When you log comes up copy and paste the entire log at http://www.hijackthis.de/ . Analyze your results. Usually, it helps to download another anti- virus programm. Different programs are able to detect different viruses. Or, the virus might be in quarantine, try deleting all those as well.
