The computer at work needs virus protection, but the company is not willing to pay for it so I need a solution. Which ever virus protection I choose gets best answer (if you were the first to suggest it.) Have great day!

AVG Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware. They provide basic free survice. They update every day and provide live protection. Go to Grisoft.com I use them and I download off the internet all the time. This has caugh everything I can imagin. It doesn't drain your computer's resources while it scans, so you can continue working. They have the most viruss in their data base. I am deeply impressed with the software.

I agree with http://www.avast.com/ . I have tried all of the others and avast makes it easy. Runs pretty light in the background (not a hog like norton).
I thought AVG had too many options and lingo that I didn't have the time to research.
Avast is free for you just have to reregister every year.
