Question:
What to do if you forgot your Administator User Account Password (still logged in to administrator)?

I am now logged in into my Administrator account, which I reset the password in this morning, but now I can't remember what it is and if I log out right now, I wouldn't be able to get back in. Is there a way to change the password while I'm still in the account?

Are you sure that's your account and not somebody else' account who just walked out to take a leak and left the computer logged in?

If that's really yours, run Command Prompt as administrator. In the Command Prompt box type the following:

net user your_account_name ""

That's double quotes with nothing in between. That will erase the password.

If you want to change your password, type this instead:

net user your_account_name *

That's an asterisk.

If you see the message "The command completed successfully." then you are good to go. If you see the message "Access is denied." then you are not running the Command Prompt as administrator.

Want another workaround? While logged in on an admin account, create another account and make it an admin too. Don't put a password if you are too forgetful. Log on to that new admin account and remove the password of the original admin account.

Ok .. Start from Step "4" if you are already inside account but if you are outside and cant log in start from Step "1"

1-Turn off your Computer

2-Start it up in Safe Mode (F8 while its booting up)

3-Then you will see an Account different than the one you usually use (with no password)

4-Now when you're inside that account push the Windows Button + R (or just run it from start by using search and searching for Run)

5-Type in cmd and press ok

6-Now type net user

7-Then type net user "ur account name here the one u lost password for" *

8-For example: net user Omega * YOU NEED TO HAVE THE STAR which is Shift + 8

9-It will ask for a new password.. Type it,Type it again.

10-Reset your Computer

11-Try the new password

Hope this helps!
