I'm tired of tracking cookies. I don't want to always delete my history or offline files or whatever to get rid of them. They keep appearing in my antivirus scans. How do I get rid of them ? Or better, how do I prevent them from actually getting on my computer ?

You can do this by changing the settings in your browser. Tracking cookies are also called 3rd party cookies.

In Internet Explorer click Tools > Internet Options, click the Privacy tab, click the Advanced button, checkmark the box for Override Automatic Cookie Handling, under 1st party cookies select Accept, under 3rd party cookies select Block, select Always Allow Session Cookies, click OK, click OK

In Firefox click Tools > Options, click the Privacy tab, select Accept Cookies from Sites, clear Accept 3rd party cookies, under Keep Until select I Close Firefox, click OK

You may have to close & re-open your browser for it to take effect

Yeah,

the answer is there in yahooanswers itself. Lots of times somany people had given answer for the same question. Okay now I'll give the answer once again.

blocking of cookies from getting on your computer again by changing your privacy settings. Access Internet Options in Internet Explorer, or click Start > Control Panel > Internet Options. Click the "Privacy" tab. Click the "Advanced" button. Select the check box beside "Override automatic cookie handling." Under Third-Party Cookies, click Block. Under First-Party Cookies, click Prompt. Select the check box beside "Always allow session cookies." This will allow you to determine on a per-incident basis whether or not you want a cookie on your computer. The next time you browse the web, a pop-up window will come up asking you whether you would like to allow or block the cookies. To reduce the number of pop-up windows you receive, be sure to select the check button by "Apply my decision to all cookies from this website."

hope this will help you

thank you
