Authentication required on gogoanime.?

Question

Just a few mins ago I started getting authentication required on gogoanime.com. Its only on there no other site. Is it only me or are others getting it aswell? Is it a virus? Just like a hour ago I wasnt getting this but now I am and its asking me to sign in. What it say is "The server https://play44-player.googlecode.com:443 requires a username and password. The server says:Google Code Subversion Repository." Can someone tell me what this is please.

firefox and google chrome both come up with same https://play44-player.googlecode.com. The site says: "Google Code Subversion Repository"

I am also using gooddrama.net and the problem is the authentication keeps popping up, i saw a blog post that a way to prevent this is to clean the cache in your settings, but i tried and didn't go away. My main problem is that i dont want to log in the authentication because a lot of netizens say that it is a spyware seeking passwords and unames for wrongdoings. Please help!

I've been watching anime on gogoanime for a long time and I've never been asked to authenticate on the website. In fact the website doesn't have such mechanism. I think you are mistaken. Just clear your browser cache and try opening it again.

I am having the same issue with Watch Anime Online Site. I uninstalled and reinstalled my Google chrome but that didnt work. Its really annoying that box keeps popping up every so often.

for gogoanime I think it's the anime44 video that is the problem.

I went directly to anime44 tried to open a video and the same authentication happened.

So I just went to googlecode.com and this is what I got for the thing... I can't find a password or username yet but it shows what sites use the MALstream thing and the chrome program hasn't been updated since nov 9th 2012. whether that equates to the general problem we are facing or not, I would like it if someone takes this information further to find a solution. If you use noscript for firefox use it to block anything with a 44 on it such as video44 or play44 and it should be working fine.

Hi i was having the same problem and i found a solution. Be cautious and only do what i am about to tell you dont mess with any other things it can harm your computer. you also require a little patience since you have to exit the authentication required many time while you are doing this so here it goes.

1. go to the website you are having this problem with.

2. when the authentication pops up close it and quickly right click and press inspect element (Q). (keep closing Authentication if it keeps coming up work quickly)

A page on the bottom should appear with tabs that say inspector, console, debugger, style editor, profiler, and network.

3 click on debugger. on the right hand side there should be sources list find the one that has the website https://play44-player.googlecode.com. and click on it so that is the only one that appears on the left.

4. on the bottom of where it says sources there should be a an eye shape figure, this figure {} and a circle press on the circle to disable then on top sources press the icon that looks like this II it will then turn to > and the color should be blue. this just means that that that particular script has been stopped and should not appear anymore.

After that exit the webpage or if you like restart your browser and the problem should be fixed.

I am facing similar problem in gooddrama.net and drama.net as well. Tried two different browsers. My youtube is working fine.



I also tried using my google user name and google code password that I got from the settings. Still not working. I am using Firefox and Maxthon.



Also asked adblockplus.org but they said it is a play44 issue and ABP cannot help.
