I need a good, undetectable keylogger. I need it to work at all times even in start-up so I can figure out the password to my computer. Any suggestions?

If you want a good key logger which works from start up and has no virus, trojans etc attached try www.spytector.com. I use it for most of my needs and it should work from the time you boot up(I have 28 internet passwords from people at school). Its easier to install if you have access to C drive which you probably will if its a home computer.

A good keylogger will be undetecable ,usually you need to provide a password when you enter the file/folder containing keylogger. Also the icon for the prog can be changed so it doesnt look like anything suspicious change to word document icon or something. If it doesnt use much memory that will be even better so its even harder to detect.

Also read this page it contains some usefull info as well www.governmentsecurity.org/archive/t7783.html

A couple of others I use sometimes are

www.relytec.com

www.actualinvisiblekeylogger.com

(Im not sure if they work right from start up)

Polling involves checking frequently and repetitively for user input. Generally, polling can be considered as an anti-social action because the process of carrying it out involves the loss of otherwise fruitful computing time but, for script kiddies and black-hats, this is a reasonable cost for reaping results. Such keyloggers do not make any straightforward query to the hardware but are calling an API function that is in charge of returning the keyboard state in an array. It is not mandatory for the keyboard state to coincide with the physical keys located on the keyboard; rather, the keyboard state corresponds to virtual keys, although there is often some connection between the physical and the virtual keys. These virtual keys are immaterial and their aim is to offset different keyboards as keyboards around the world differ from country to country.

If it is your computer why would someone else have the password to punch in and not you?

If you had just lost the password ,a keylogger would not have any way to grab it.

Do you think us techies stupid?

The best keylogger is All In One Keylogger.

You can download from here:

http://www.relytec.com

You can set it to hide its folder/process/startup entry/tray icon ...

Totally invisible.

Umm...if it's your computer, why do you need to "figure out" the password? Sounds like someone's trying to hack.

Your lawyer or parents/significant other should be able to help you out with that one. Hilarious request for sure...
