My firewall is coming up with a warning to deny access or accept access of firefox. I have to click twice b4 it allows internet access via Mozilla firefox. Is that safe?
And, i've noticed firefox is running slow. Is that because my comp needs to remember the cookies and it will get faster the more times I use firefox?
I'm a little paranoid because i've just got my laptop reformatted and i don't want any nasties happening again.
I have AVG antivirus, AVG antispywear, and Comodo firewall pro so i'm prtected but you can never be to safe i reckon.
What's your experience with Mozilla Firefox?

Yeah, that's the only bad thing about Comodo Pro...it will nag you *a lot* at the beginning. Stick with it and that will decrease.

Firefox always does load slow, that's just how it is, but the browser itself is noticeably faster than IE.

Install the Firefox add-on called "Fasterfox." That will perk up the fox a little ;-)

Firefox is actually safer than Internet explorer, so it is safe to allow it access to the internet, in as much as it is safe to access the internet at all. My experience is that firefox is faster than IE, but I haven't used IE in such a long time it's hard to say. I have also found Firefox crashes a lot, but I run 64 bit linux instead of windows, and there is no 64 bit flash plugin for linux, so I have to use a wrapper to fake the 32 bit plugin to work, which I suspect is the root of all the crashes. Mostly, my experience with firefox for linux is totally unrelated to what you will have to deal with, so I'm not sure why I'm even writing it...

1. Yes its safe to allow access

2. Not sure why firefox is running slow, probably your internet connection.

3. Those programs are good but i recommend Bitdefender Internet Security 2008, it is antispyware, antivirus, firewall plus more. Scan at least once a weak and keep the firewall up to date.

Hope this helps

Comodo firewall pro like any other firewall software does initialize 'pop-ups' in their 'learning mode'.So, there's nothing to be worrried about.Comodo firewall pro is considered as one of the best firewall softwares even amongst the paid variants. So, after certain days of its 'learning mode' it would switch to normal mode with enhanced protection.

As far as firefox is concerned, only web browser that has the best protection against being hijacked(browser hijack). And much safer in comparison to IE7.And at the same time it regularly gets updated for patches to security holes..........

Never had a problem with firefox, and i've been using it for years now.

Hands down the best internet browser. the second choice would be Opera.

Good luck.

Firefox / IE are crap..

Seriously go with Opera, it's the smoothest internet I've ran in a long long time, I highly recomend it!
