OK, basically, I have a bunch, especially since starting out my college search. Also, top that off with personal stuff, and it gets crazy. All these websites need different requirements for their passwords and stuff and I get them all confused!!!

One thing I did was keep track of every single one in a word document. I did this for my colleges especially. However, there is one that I forgot to put down, and it just happens (because that's how life goes) that I need that one to apply for housing. And of course, I have nooooo idea. Plus, I have to call to get it back, and I am 90% sure I have teh username correct.

So how do I keep track of these. I wish I set up similar ones i nthe past, and had a standardized username and password like I do now, but I was stupid when I was 13-14 years old I guess.

So any good ways to remember these? And should I call the college to get my password? I don't want to seem irresponsible or anything, but it says to call if I forgot. Or keep guessing at it?

I have used a lot of things, but the best thing to keep track of all your passwords, and usernames is Last Pass.It stores all your info on an encrypted server, and you can add a last pass extension to your Chrome or Mozilla browser.

KeePass Password Safe is an safe and easy way to safely store (they are encrypted) and remember passwords. I have over 75 of my passwords and usernames in mine. Free:

From a security point of view, the absolute worse thing a computer user can do is to use a "standardized username and password". If only one password becomes compromised, that person will have access to every account...Facebook, e-mail, eBay, online banking, store accounts, online bill-pay...EVERYTHING. Always use separate usernames and passwords!

a million. hear to what i'm asserting rather of asking prescripted questions. Did it happen to you that no longer each and every individual calling is a finished moron and that they did verify the failings which you're scripted to ask formerly they ever even called. whilst explaining what i've got already checked, it incredibly is quite irritating to take heed to a reaction of "Did you verify (in spite of I purely have been given completed asserting I checked)" 2. I agree. 3. despite the fact that, it is likewise decrease than effective to call and say "i'm getting an blunders" so a minimum of have it written down so which you would be able to provide the actual blunders whilst/if asked. 4. Heaven forbid every physique could attempt to be personable or well mannered. 5. "Screwed up" isn't effective. the place the particular undertaking lies could be. 6. I agree. 7. familiar rule of thumb is call whoever made it - hardware OR utility smart. I do ought to disagree once you assert you do no longer use the internet to fax - there are quite a few information superhighway and email based fax classes. 8. nicely, incredibly, there are various cases the relationship subject concerns are no longer "purely me". 9. be certain that the comments factors are elementary to navigate so no person HAS to call to furnish that type of suggestion. 10. truthfully, you gets a commission to help human beings set issues up so stop complaining. in the event that they want help, that's what you're meant to be there for. 11. I agree 12. I agree 13. sure 14. do no longer assume that i do no longer know desktops, probable extra suited than you, and refer to me as such 13. Being impolite and not listening makes me desire to come again right down to the call center you're sitting in thinking you're smarter than me to knock you off your chair.
