Internet Explorer 8 has a feature called InPrivate Browsing that opens up another browser windows and in that window nothing on any site gets stored on you computer, its under the safety button

But to stop the history you can go Internet Options, then under Browsing History you can do many things that all do the block the history.

Change the days to keep history to 0

Change the disk space to use to 0

Check the box for Delete browsing history on exit.

Im not sure if this is the same for internet explorer 7 but you can check or upgrade to Internet Explorer 8

You can also block the cookies by going to Internet Options

Then in the Privacy tab slide the bar to Block all Cookies

I know you can go to tools then internet options and click Delete browsing history on exit. That will delete the history whenever you close that window.

you could use firefox, rather than internet explorer.

firefox had a function called "cover my tracks" that removes history, cookies and personal data whenever you close the browser.
