yes if you have a firewall like comodo.

the firewall warns all the time a program try to make a change in your registry.

I know there are programs out there that will show you all the entries added to the registry as well as files added to the hard drive when you've just installed a program. But just listing most recently added registry entries. I dont think so. I wish regedit had a function where you could list the registry entries by dates and their respective times. i understand what you are saying i thought you meant you were trying to find out recent entries on your pc before having a program that can detect everything in an installation. what i'm trying to say is its not going to show you recent registry entries unless you are getting ready to install something. is that what you are looking for or are you trying to find out something that has already been installed? because if you are trying to find registry entries of something that has already been installed then that is impossibe to find what has been added recently without already having the monitoring application on your pc. what exactly are you having troubles with? ..... i believe there is......i dont personally have one installed because i dont use them.... but i do think i have a list of a couple....let me check my notes......brb... this is a link a friend gave me ....Actually, to keep track of what's being installed, you can use programs like InstallWatch or InstallRite

from http://www.epsilonsquared.com/ i would try to read about this and make sure it does what you want before installing it (meaning make sure it shows you registry entries added when installing something)..... hey i just found a link on this that shows a screenshot and it lookss like it shows the registry entries look at the screenshot carefully it shows the registry entries in the bottom left hand of the screenshot heres the link....looks like a cool program.... maybe i'll try it out......http://www.tejasconsulting.com/open-testware/feature/installwatch.html yeah a post install analysis would be great huh? i got do some reading on this.... i cant find anywhere where it says what operating systems it's compatible with. if you do email me. now you are getting really technical on me let me think about this for a second i see the executable just runs by itself kind of like a dos command or something do you know for sure the application makes registry entries. some applications do and some dont make any at all or does this application affect other registry entries? that sounds possible to find an application that monitors the registry in real time hey i just googled real time registry monitor and this is the first thing that came up http://www.snapfiles.com/get/regmon.html btw what in heck are you making or testing? a virus and trying to see how it affects the registry or what? jus kidding
