It is called “spoofing” they are claiming to be from your address to
1. Entice you to open it
2. Slip past your defenses.
You can black list you own email address. for many mail clients you own email does not go through the filtering. While anyone claiming to be you will be stopped.

There is currently a virus that is sending your contacts emails, my daughter has it in 2 of her laptops but she said it seems to be through her hotmail account? Run a virus scan or download Google free virus scan PC Tools Spyware Doctor.

I don't know exactly the names, but there are programs to detect the source of the e-mails sent. The IT departments in companies can do that. If you know someone in IT, you can tell them and they can tell you exactly which address and computer it was sent from.
