You might want to install them one at a time.

When the pop up appears next time, click on CUSTOMIZE installation and you can just check on the checkboxes of the ones you want to update. Try breaking them up and install them separately. Maybe your computer is overwhelmed by this huge list.

By the way, Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474) is an update that checks to see if your Windows software is genuine. If you fail that installation, you are in big trouble. Make sure your windows is genuine...otherwise, I would omit that one.

There are many reasons as to why that is. It happend to me once because my windows was not genuine (it was a counter feit) With the windows xp cd however, i was able to correct it and now i can update my computer at any day..i hope this helps

That is an aweful lot of updates to be pulling down. Are you sure your registered your Windows XP? That many patches make it look like you recently reloaded your system.

i'm having problems with mine too

i think firewall may be blocking it if you have that?

if so click start, then control panel..

then double-click windows firewall, click change settings.. then turn it off.

Then try installing your updates and see if they work.. and if they do turn your firewall back on after you've installed the updates, hope this helps :)

Two things come to mind:

you are running an illegal copy of Windows;

you are not signed on as administrator.
