Hi i put a ad on gumtree looking for any type of work a man replied with this:
Hello, I am looking for for someone who would be interested in an eBay partnership. At present I export and import products all over the world, but I find eBay the best place for doing business.
What I mean by an eBay partnership is if you have an eBay account or even if you do not (I can show you how to set one up) we can work together to sell item there.
Basically how it works is, you will upload the product I have for sale from templates I will give you. When they sell I will post them out to you or to the customer depending on what is best at the time and then you will take a share of the profits of each item.
I have been trading on eBay for about two years now and my average income from sales per month is £3,000
This is a genuine business offer and I don't want any money up front.
If you are interested please contact me and we can talk more about this and I welcome an ideas you may have too.
Thank you
Matthew

just ask yourself

If you asked a stranger in the street the same question and he gave the same answer would you trust them?

If not - why would you trust them on gumtree?

Just suppose he does what he says

YOU sell the goods- You send some money to him.

HE gets the money

YOU are stuck if they are crap products and have to refund

Now lets suppose they are counterfeit

YOU get stuck with the law in YOUR country cos YOU are the seller.

He claims "its nothing to do with me" and thast even if they can find him or even want to

Remember - YOU are committing a crime in YOUR country HE could be thousands of miles away. YOU think YOUR police force would be interested in trying to trace him in a different country when they have got YOU.on their doorstep.

THAT maybe why he likes doing business on e-bay. By the time ANYBODY finds out - he is long gone. All YOU have is MAYBE an account number which can be closed in no time.

Just think - he could be doing EXACTLY the same with thousands of people worldwide, He only needs say 5% to take up his "offer" and he could make loads with virtually no risk to himself.

He COULD be doing it weekly or monthly, every time some get caught there are others waiting to take their place.

My advice - dont touch it with a barge pole

Maybe he IS bona fides- but are you willing to take the risk?

It's a scam. You won't get paid, it's just a scam. Don't fall for it, tell him you quit.
