Can anyone give stepwise guidance to cleaning your pc of a stalker?

Here are the details:
One internet connection thru the telephone line. My laptop and my child's pc connected to that thru a wireless within the home.
I am not sure but the stalker has fiddled with my child's computer (he works in IT and has good knowledge and resources to do this) to stalk me.
He has accessed my emails (I have proof of his entry into my gmail accounts which show login details, and he has responded to me based on my emails in my inbox) He also is able to view my google searches - deduction.
How do I ensure I clean up mine and my child's PC? In my view either he has put a keylogger or has put a net surveillance program - so like everything written online is accessible to him.

I am an Indian (this is an abusive ex husband who is angry coz I left him and his and his family's abuse behind - they need the scapegoat back). I am living in China for some time and have no help or support here. Internet stalking is his way to control and isolate me and keep tabs on what I do, who I talk to and what I am thinking etc.

Needless to say I am feeling really harassed and isolated. Pls help. Thanks in advance.

If he accessed your Gmail account, then he also has access to your Google account. Google now provides a service which tracks your web search history unless you disable it. If you haven't disabled this service, that may be how he is "tracking" you. Change your password, security question, and secondary email address. Do the same for ALL your online accounts. Make sure you do this from a computer you trust.



This may be the only "tracking" he has been doing. But if you want to be absolutely sure about your privacy, backup your data, format your hard drive and reinstall the operating system. Then install a firewall to keep him from getting back in. There is no other way to be sure the system is clean, since he may have taken steps to avoid getting caught by AV programs, and his malicious software could be hiding almost anywhere.

Wireless?He would have to be there to supply a reliable stalker program.But the net surveillance maybe.

1.Does he have your phone # if he does get an unlisted # for friends and family and hand the first one to the police.



2.Block all communication from him.



3.If necessary Check your computer for anything suspicious if you find something delete it if you can not,get a IT or just format your drive(save valuable info!)



4.If he can get to your house or such check your keyboard for manual key loggers as in open up your keyboard if something is there,change locks and know where everyone is at all times.



5.If he was there your wired/wireless may be exposed so check all visible connections(if wired)

(if wireless)Get a new Router and set an IMPOSSIBLE password for wireless.



If this does not solve the problem get police.

A antistatic material is satisfactory, don't use ANY !! liquid cleaners in your moniter or your flat display t.v. Just a blank anti static material is all you have to use. Any liquid purifier with alcohol in it's loss of life on your displays. A reasonably damp tissue is satisfactory to take away marks.
