There's not very much you can do you have opened your computer to infections and other software infections. Most anti virus will only recognize 90 to 95%.

The only Luck I had was avast at that point in time.

So my advice is use avast it may help.

Another thing that can cause pop up's and other unknown incidents.

Keep your browser cleaned out any links in your browser can also accumulate

pop up's into other unknown functions. The less you have in your browser the less cookies and links that will be attached to your computer.

If it's possible do not save any links in your browser at all.

go into safemode with networking by booting up or rebooting your machine and tapping the F8 key at the same time then choose safemode with networking go to safety.live.com that is microsoft's online scanner there are three scans available use all three this will remove virus/malware/spyware and clean your registry and defragment your machine.

If you'll be able to get a internet connection get avast and clean your computer in boot scan.If you can't connect to internet vipe your hard drive and reinstall windows, otherwise your pc will be eated piece by piece.

I didn't read your description, but I recommend scanning your computer with SuperAntiSpyware and NOD32 AV

http://www.superantispyware.com/ - Super Anti Spyware

http://www.eset.com/ - ESET NOD32 AntiVirus
