I am trying to download a program but in order to do it I have to log onto my administrator desktop. Only problem is I can't log on to it. I have my username and password written down but it keeps saying the password is wrong which is strange because I've never had any trouble logging on in the past.. Is there a way I can reset the password for my administrator account through my personal account? If so could someone please walk me through how to do that? (My computer is Windows xp) Not sure if that's important information or not, I just really need help and am at my wit's end. :(

You can reset administrator password with Windows built-in administrator account:

1. Log on with the guest account on windows, then right click computer, and choose Management.

2. Expand Local Users and Groups and Users in the console.

3. Right-click Administrator account and select Properties.

4. On the General tab, clear the Account is Disabled check box.

5. Close the console.

Now the super administrator account is successfully enabled. Next, you can easily reset the forgotten admin password from “Start->Control Panel”.

If the above method can not help you, you can use Smartkey Windows Password Recovery to help you to reset the password, and see the detail direction from recoverlostpassword.com.

except you're equipped to get to the setup reveal your pleasant option might be to seek advice you buyer carrier agent in your pc and ask them how you'll be able to reinstall your pc and check out to avoid wasting your earlier information. Good Luck I have had to do this a couple of instances myself!
