Software Informer is dangerous software hijacker, keylogger, and spyware. Other name is System Informer
You can check which programs are missing security updates by using the online Secunia Online program. It also offers a program that you can install which will check daily or more often for updates. It has been around awhile and is a respected program.

never heard of it.... so I wouldn't do it. I also think it's name is suspicious.
