Question:
ccleaner, wipe free space?
2010-02-22 16:39:42 UTC
Does this actually work, will anything be able to be recovered? i've heard if you have an NTFS drive. it doesn't get rid of the MFT free space.

are there any other free programs similar to ccleaners wfs, that are easy to use and doesn't wipe the entire drive? thanks

It doesn't wipe the whole drive, just the free space on the drive. If you deleted something that was on section 31, it will keep deleting section 31 so that it is perfectly clean for the next file that decides to get written there. It is not going to delete anything on the drive.

I have only heard of CCleaner that does a good job. Haven't tried much more.

in simple terms run the cleansing guy. unfastened classes like this might make errors with determining how plenty memory you have left. as long as you have made particular that it is not deleting something considerable to you, then you definitely're high quality.
