how to delete errors and warnings from event viewer in windows xp?

my internet is not working and i think because my laptop has alot of warnings and errors in event viewer
can you tell me how to delete errors and warning from xp

Log on to your computer as an administrator.

Click "Start." Click "Control Panel."

Select "Administrative Tools."

Click on "Event Viewer." Select "Application."

Click "Action." Select "Clear All Events" on the drop-down menu. This deletes everything in the Application Event Viewer log.
