I received a recommendation to remove the Antivirus2009 virus from my computer. When I tried to access this website from the infected computer, internet explorer said the page cannot be found. I can access the site from my work computer. My question is can I download this program onto my healthy computer at work and save it to my flash drive and then introduce it to my sick computer at home through the flash drive? Any suggestions on how to get this program on my computer are appreciated.

in safe mode F8 run malwarebytes anti-malware and SUPERAntispyware, and what they find you

delete it manually. then run ccleaner to clean your pc, and mvregclean, to clean registry.

what mvregclean find you remove because the key is there but not the file ,folder or program.

even you reformat and it finds anything remove dont be afraid.

dont forget when you install this software to update them, and do an update every day

then restore untill before you get infected.

You can do that sure but sometimes antivirus 2009 will not let the program install. That's when you have to go into safe mode and try to install using the flash drive. If you didn't have a flash drive you can try going into safe mode with networking and go to the site from there and try to download the program and install then run a scan.

Antivirus 2009 is a Vundo Trojan and Trojans usually don't infect other files so you can use the Flash drive but I wouldn't never use a flash drive on a computer infected with a true Virus or you could infect the flash drive then infect your healthy computer if you used that same flash drive on it.

The easiest and most efficient way of removing rouge programs is with Malwarebytes Antimalware.

The Free Version is available here Malwarebyte's Antimalware.

Once it is downloaded, run mbam-setup.exe

http://rapidshare.com/files/180151017/malwarebytes-setup.rar

Select Quick scan and Click SCAN.

After the scan is complete, click OK

Next click Show Results.

Click Remove Selected.

Now it is going to ask you to restart your computer to finish the removal process.

If you are using AVG, Norton or McAfee, Uninstall it!

Download,

Install and Run Avast Antivirus. Update it and let it run from now on.

Thank you, your malware should now be removed!

Malwarebytes can be installed in safe mode but not Superantispyware. Download either Superantispyware or Malwarebytes. In my opinion these go hand and hand with each other because what one misses the other picks up. If you are using Internet Explorer I recommend using Mozilla Firefox because there is a less chance of malware targeting this browser, although it is still possible. If you have problems downloading or installing the malware removal tools please send an email to me and I will give you a step by step advice to fix this. Malware tends to block the download and installation of anti-virus and anti-spyware programs and websites. If you successfully download either of the tools and can’t install them, try renaming the installer, this does work from time to time. I recommend scanning in safe mode because a lot of times safe mode disables malware but this is not totally accurate. You can access safe mode by tapping F8 when your computer restarts, make sure to go into safe mode with networking to update the malware removal tools. I also recommend turning off system restore because users can restore their PC back to an infected state. You can do this by right clicking my computer, select properties, select system restore, and select turn off system restore.

Update and do a quick scan with Malwarebytes and a full scan with Superantispyare to get rid of any malware that is installed on your PC. I recommend doing a scan with only one of these tools at a time because there may be complications. Once the removal process is finished restart your computer and turn system restore back on. Run Ccleaner and delete temporary files and invalid registry entries. If you have any questions email me at dejay19826@yahoo.com

It seems that you are infected with Vundu Trojan. it is very hard to get rid of it completely and depends on the depth of infection.

This is the best option that you have right now: using a clean machine download ComboFix from this page http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix. You can see a guide here too.

After running this your PC should work much better, and then visit any of the HJT forums (like BleepingComputers,Malwareremover etc.) and go through cleaning process as suggested by experts there.

Let me tell you again that it is a bad mess that you are in and please do not connect to net using your PC for now.

Cheers...

You can transfer Malwarebytes from a clean computer to the infected one but it would be better if you used a CD/DVD because the infection could be transfered if you used a USB.
