Okay I have a laptop that has a BIOS password on it D': I tried taking the laptop apart and messing with the CMOS jumpers and whatnot... and it's still asking for a password!!! -.-"
I have a cable connected from my laptop to the locked laptop. I can't hit F2 or F10 or F8 or any of that when the computer starts up. Now please remeber that this password request comes up BEFORE the computer boots up. I want legite answers please! I even tried F2+DEL and Ctrl+Enter.
So This is what i'm trying right now, Like i said earlier, i have my laptop connected to the locked laptop through a cable. Is there anyway i can get into the computer this way and possibly drop in a program or control that computer with my computer or something like that??? D:
And for the last time, before one of u refers me to a website. This is not one of those admin passwords on windows ( i could get rid of that easily) this is more like a MASTER PASSWORD
Pleas answer and thank you for taking ur time to read this and help me! I appreciate it (:

****UPDATE**** The cd is based on a linux boot cd....meaning it willl boot as a recovery cdrom or floppy disk before the hard disk. yes a cd-r will work just make sure hirens is burned to the cd. Most computers are setup to boot the CD-ROM before the hard disk and password/bios, but if it doesn't work let me know.

No problem! us Geeks are always here to help with individuals who need technical assistance or troubleshooting.

First make sure your jumpers are in there default location and I recommend you leave them alone(and other hardware aspects) unless you have prior experience or a technician has instructed so. But hey its not my computer.

Yes there is a software to undelete Bios passwords. They are very easy to bypass but it usually requires some additional time and could get a bit technical. So if your willing to get your hands dirty within your laptops software realm here are 7 simple steps to fixing your bios...

(don't remove your bios battery(size of a nickel) unless you need to. In the long end, jumping your battery ruins more then it actually fixes .)

1.download hirens boot disc

http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/Hirens.BootCD.12.0.zip

2.write iso to cd

3.put cd into laptop

4. A menu should load up before the bios click on dos cd

5.use the arrow keys and go to bios or password

6. find (cmospwd) it might be under something other then password or bios, I dont have it running so i'm guessing, but i know its there.

7.follow the instructions of the linux program and it should be gone.

DON'T remove your bios battery! I'm not sure why someone instructed you such nonsense!!!

hope I helped

Just hit the set up key as your machine boots up, usually, F2-F3 or F8.

Go to safe mode using the up-down arrows and where it says set/change password, simply hit the enter button, enter a new password in and close, using the save function.

You can now use that new password and are now officially the administrator!

Or else, you need some Windows password reset program to help you do that job.

You should have a small CMOS battery on your motherboard that gives enough power to store your BIOS information when your computer doesn't have battery. I don't know what kind of laptop you have, but in most cases, you DO have that battery.

Try looking for a layout/diagram of your laptops internals, then you can work from there to find the CMOS battery. Removing it WILL reset your BIOS password.

Good luck!

Formatting is an alternative, but when this is a cellphone reminiscence card, a cell retailer perhaps equipped to entry that understanding by way of the cell. You too can ship the portraits as photo messages to areas like fb and so on. after which down load them from there...
