I recently got a new mac book air its a mac os x. I prefer not to use norton :/ they've given me problems in the past with my dell. I want something reliable, that really works well (hopefully free but I will pay if I have to) soooo any suggestions?(: Thank you!

It happens that there are fewer viruses written by the bad guys for the MACs because they go for the bigger market. However the ones that are out there are just as bad as the ones for the PC's. I really suggest you get an AV that has a run time module that checks everything that comes and goes from your computer. You have to pay for any AV that does that.

Everyone has their own opinion, and you can go to www.pcmag.com to see their professional reviews. I personally find Norton NIS really good.
