You should go to Kaspersky forum and find out what the problem might be. You do know this whether it's KIS or KAV it updates every one to two hours when you have update set to automatic updating. If you try to update it when you don't need an update then it will not update until you need it. Yo can only have one Anti-Virus program on your computer so uninstall either Bitdefnder or KAV. If you have trouble uninstalling all the files from KAV use this

Create a free account and ask your question. They are going to want a GSI report to see if anything on your computer might be causing then problem

Ok, go to Kav website and check the latest updating files, if your Kav and Bitdefender really cannot be updated as your internet connection no any problem. May be a virus, I suggest you use ESET NOD32 online scanner to scan your harddisk, ESET NOD32 antivirus is the best antivirus system in the market, can detect unknow virus and most of the malwares. The online scanner is the same with NOD32 antivirus, but no installation request and always up-to-date. http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/

If it is not updating that means there are no new updates at that time. Just wait and try again in a couple of weeks.
