Question:
On erasing any porn traces whatsoever in my Internet History so that my parents don't see?

Contemplating on the answer given by Samuel Adams at this - http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080430122516AAg4EyV it got me thinking if there is any way that my parents can find out that I watch porn despite my deleting history at Internet Explorer and erasing my AOL history (a.k.a. "footprints").

If there's a technical way to do it like Windows Registry and what have you as Samuel Adams says in that question I linked above, will they go to those means?

Or will I be alright just deleting browsing history and my AOL "footprints" (which is basically the list on my AOL username which says "My Last 300 Sites") as well as doing a disk cleanup. I do these three things after every time I watch porn. Is there more I can do to erase my traces completely? Thanks

P.S. Is it possible my dad, via his laptop, is monitoring what I do?

You also might want to reset the router, if you use one! this also keeps a log of what web sites have been viewed... lol!!!

Yes, if your parents know how to monitor a computer, they can monitor what you are doing. On the other hand, if your dad monitors your porn consumption from his laptop, he would have to be a pervert or a control freak. It's just as if he were tapping your room without telling you. I'm not sure it's illegal, but it's clearly extremely freaky.

However, should he be curious about your web consumption, there is luckily a few options for you. I think Internet Explorer's fairly insecure on that side, but Apple's Safari and Google's Chrome have a "stealth mode/private browsing" function with which you can surf without leaving any trail. This feature isn't available on Firefox as of today, but there are plugins that implement it: Distrust and Stealther.

Yes you can use Eraser which overwrites everything that you have deleted.

Simply download and install the program, Open it, select File > New Task then select your Drive - normally C: then click OK, then go to Edit > Preferences > Erasing and select 1 Guttman click OK, click on your Drive as listed then go to Task > Run.

http://www.download.com/Eraser/3000-2092_4-10231814.html

It will NOT remove any existing files or folders, it shreds the free space on the drive so that previously deleted items cannot be recovered.

To remove existing files/folders simply go to File > New Task and select Files in folder or File and then browse to the files you want to delete.

I am just about 44, retired from the Navy, and might supply a flying buffalo chip about my mothers and fathers going by means of something for the reason that they live a lifestyle that's markedly less healthful than mine. But due to the fact I have got to select, i guess my pc, due to the fact I spend much less time on it than I do my cell.
