The most important thing to keep in mind, regardless of which anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-spyware and firewall you use is to keep it UPDATED, just as it is important to make sure you have all windows critical and security updates + http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us

OK first go here and run a virus scan. They can tell what it is and maybe can get rid of them..

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Then go here: http://www.download.com/

And download the free version of spy bot and ad aware and AVG anti virus. Run the spy bot and do what it says, The run Ad aware and do what it says. They will remove Trojans and spy ware and such. Now run your AVG and see what ya get.. You should be in good shape..Now go back to CNET and download ZONE ALARM. It IS also free. It is a fire wall that can help keep folks from accessing your computer and other stuff.. You should be ready to go.. Good luck and God Bless, {:-)

Ya gotta find the software you downloaded that you thought was free that is associated with it. If you keep using the software it will keep installing the adware...You downloaded it, you the only one who can find it...maybe next time you wont download all that crap! Thats like a friend of mine....every two weeks he complains about dialers and popups and chit slowin his system down, I clean it, I tell him stop goin to them stupid porn sites and so called free mp3 sites....hes says "I dont wanna stop". Then he says "I ran all my spyware detection software..." New adware comes out by the tons on a daily basis! You can run 10 detectors and they wont see it! IF IT SAYS ITS FREE IT IS ALMOST GUARANTEED TO HAVE AT LEAST ADWARE AND SPY WARE....NOT TO MENTION POSSIBLE HIJACKERS, VIRUSES, TROJANS AND OTHER MALICIOUS SOFTWARE. So called free music sites, porn sites, and gambling sites, and online gaming sites are loaded to the hilt with this chit! .
