Just recently out of the blue in one of my desktop folders when ever i create or add something the name of the object is in blue. And i am unable to delete or rework the files or folders in any way i get the Requires "admin approval" crap and I'm unable to go any further i know it's not as i worded it lol also not all of the objects in this folder are in blue only newer ones that have been worked in some way as far as i can see. However it is becoming a problem as things are beginning to build up and I'm unable to keep my folder clean. This folder in particular is highly important as i keep most all my files on it everything from games to writings/pictures/movies/music etc etc. to my tax forms. So my question is what is this blue font and how do i get ride of it. I'm not computer savvy so little words please lol ad. notes... The main desktop folder itself is in the normal white font, also I'm unsure if any other files or folders have this aside from the obviously system restricted files and folders. I am the only user on the computer and i am the admin

Try this:

1. Right-click on the folder.

2. Click the Properties button.

3. Click the Advanced button.

4. Uncheck the "Compress contents to save disk space" checkbox.

5. OK out of everything.

You may need to do this to individual files also.

Hope that helps.

The black to blue color replace on my workstation grew to grow to be into an selection that designates a compressed checklist. I incredibly have one annoying stress that keeps to be in Fat32 and each checklist in it particularly is shown in blue particularly of black. So i'm questioning it designates any compression format diverse than the stress with the working kit.

I believe it means that folder is compressed.
