Most memory errors are due to memory chips or modules going bad, or being bad.



You can get a program that will test memory modules. The Ubuntu Linux CD has a memory test program on it, you just boot the computer with the CD, and it is not necessary at all to install Ubuntu



The same program is available on the Internet, called MemTest86+

You can download the ISO version and burn it to a CD and you will have a bootable CD that automatically runs the program.

Sometimes all you have to do is reseat the memory modules.



You simply remove a memory module, then re-install that memory module.



There are plenty of videos on YouTube explaining how to install memory modules, use

Unfortunately, I could not find a video on how to "re-seat" memory modules, so you have to just watch several different ones to get a good idea of how to do this.

When was the last time you checked for errors on your computer? Is it a lap top or a desk top? Do you have a virus protection program on your computer? Contact your support ,see if they can help you. How big is your hard drive and how much memory does it have? How much free space do you have? You may not have enough memory and your computer is letting you know it. The next thing I am going to tell is going to be hard to say. TAKE IT TO A TECHNICIAN as a last resort.Maybe you should take it to one first.
