if it's skype, then nothing to worry about, it's peer to peer encrypted connection and they can't do much about it unless they installed monitoring sw on your pc, then you're hosed.

YUP - anything you do on your company's computers, in work-time, belongs to the company. So, your Network Admin can do what he likes with your chat logs

There is NEVER EVER! EVER!! EVER!!! 'really private' chats when you're at work - your employer isn't paying you to chatter away and waste time - he/she expects you to work hard.

Your personal life happens after you've finished working hard at the job you're being paid for.

The good news is - you're still working at this company, so this chat log is not important enough to have been checked for content.

If you have Skype at work it must be for some business use. You should watch yourself,

Do you have key-logging software installed on your machine at work? That would get around any peer2peer encryption. The idea behind such stealth software is that you have no idea if it's there or not.

it depends on when the monitoring app is installed on your pc.
