Hello,

(ANS) In windows XP its NOT possible to set up a password on an ordinary folder as windows XP Doesnt have that feature built in when you buy it. However, there are a number of third party software programs that work with XP and allow you to protect sensitive data or files within a folder i.e. password protect the folder or directory. Here are a number that come off the top of my head!

**PGP (pretty good privacy) which is freeware.

**WinZip in version 10 allows users to create zip files that can be password protected (not folders as such).

**Cryptainer again creates a virtual drive that can be loaded or unloaded as required, not only does it create a secure space on your computer which is encrypted & password protected, it cloaks itself too when unloaded so it cannot be seen. And Cytptainer LE (lite) is freeware but only gives you 25megs space but the licensed version give much more, its very good & very clever too.

**As I said if you run a quick Yahoo or google search I'm sure you will find many more package that will give you what your after.

Hope that helps you?

Best Regards IR

Yes,of course.What u can do is,open outlook & create a personal folder-Tools>services>Add>Personal folder(select)>OK>Choose d location where u want 2 store it & name d folder>Open>Give d password>OK

Now u can c dis folder in ur folder list.

Then open d folder,click on 'File',now select import/export option,u'll get an imp./exp. wizard>imp.(select)>select d path>finish.

In dis way u can import ur files in dis password protected folder & u can also copy & paste d files in dis folder.

i think you gotta hide it in a partition. you can bury them in subs, but navigation sucks. just partition part of your harddrive, follow the instructions.
