i have that virus, all the symptoms are there, cant run antivurus etc, so heres a shot of, as you can see, system 32 folder with all the files with "spool" on it, now i understand some can be legit (for printers, which i dont have in this computer btw) but the last icon there all round and blue, says it was created yesterday (and its an exe), and the other ones in 2004

Delete it, but it may repropagate.

spools.exe is a process which is registered as W32/Kassbot-C trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data.

Also try msconfig, see if it is there for a startup up file, delete that entry.

Try safe mode if the above doesn't work. And delete it there.

This boot CD might help: http://soft.softoogle.com/ap/hiren-s-bootcd-download-6916.shtml it has McAfee Antivirus 4.4.50 (2909) on it.
