We said "yes" to alpha antivirus software and it got installed on our computer. We removed it under C: Downloads: Programs (x86) and it didn't show up anymore in the Control Panel. But now when we do a Google search, certain websites are blocked with a warning from alpha antivirus saying the website could be harmful and contain malicious software. It gives 2 choices: "Continue Unprotected" or "Get Security Software." (which will lead us again to downloading alpha antivirus) How do we remove this blocking window?

Use combofix from bleepingcomputer.com, then go download malwarebytes from softpedia.com or cnet.com and use it(rename the installer if it doesn't let you install it such as winlogon.exe), then clean the rest of the virus with superantispyware from softpedia.com or superantispyware.com.

Or Manually:

Terminating the process:

1.I verify that a Rogue is present. This isn't hard, since it's usually popping up just about every few seconds.

2.Click CTRL-ALT-DELETE (if it's available)

3.Click Task Manager

4.Click Processes

5.Find a process that usually contain all numbers. For example 2342342.exe. If you do not see all numbers then your rogue has a name like...SystemSecurityPro.exe or GreenAV.exe...etc.

This is spyware, a trojan that has blocked your task manager.

And this blocks the security sites and your anti virus.

There's

3 ways to open it.

start

run

type in taskmgr

ok

click on process

end alphaAV.exe

or

CTRL+ALT+DELETE

or CTRL+SHIFT+ESC

If you can remove that, you can run your anti virus to remove the things executable files. From your start up. And your registry.

2 of the files are,

netfilter.exe and alphaantivirus.exe

Running the anti virus in safe mode might be good. That gets you away from your trojan.

This trojan has sent your information to some one.

I suggest you get a firewall, if you do not have one.

Your information will be sold.

You can download a antispyware software. There are 10 good anti-spywares.

You can download one and scan your system.

All are safe and can be trusted.

First, you need a good antispyware. Spyware doctor ( http://pack.google.com ), malwarebytes anti-malware, superantispyware are good. They should handle the alpha antivirus problem

Second, you need to check couple things on your PC. Are there some unknown add-ons in your browser ? Is there a malicious proxy server in your settings? Is there an infected host file. Here is a guide how to fix these problems : http://www.2-viruses.com/how-to-fix-google-results-hijacker-google-redirect-virus-problem
