Usually, we can Reset Windows user password in two ways.
The first is to change Windows password with another administrator account;
The second is to reset the user password with the Windows Password Unlocker that had been created before you forgot the password.
Take Windows XP for example:
1 . You must free download Windows Password Unlocker in website;
2 . Burn the image file onto an blank CD with the burner freely supported by Password Unlocker;
3 . Insert the CD and reset your password follow step-by-step operation.

Windows has this in-built function to make a "recovery password disc" in the Control panel, which allows you to reset the password on that computer. The only problem is that you can only use this function on the computer that you need the password for, and if you can't get into it, then you're not going to be able to use it.
The only way to change the password on Windows is to use one of the "boot loader" programs out there which load before Windows does and then changes the password inside your hard drive. The most reliable one is a commercial program called "Password Resetter" which costs $29.99. This tool basically loads up before Windows and resets the password, allowing you to log in. You don't need any authentication or anything - you just download the program and let it install on your system. It will then create a CD or USB and will change the Windows password on your affected computer.

Method one: Login with the default administrator account
Step 1: Start Windows PC
Step 2: When you can see the Windows login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys Twice and it'll show Classic Login box
Step 3: Type Administrator as Username and leave the Password field blank
Step 4: Press the Enter Key and then you can be able to login the default windows administrator account which is it created by default when install windows.
Note: When you input the key combination Please don’t put the cursor on any account. And if you change the name or password before, you cannot login by this way.
you are lucky if you can log in this account.

You can make a Windows password reset disk to reset your password:
1. Login to a computer that can link to Internet. Download windows login recovery and install it on that PC. Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD or a USB flash drive.
2. Get out the newly created CD/USB and insert it to the locked computer.
3. re-booted the locked computer (it's necessary for you to change your computer's Setup to make it boot from CD drive or USB drive) and then followed the process of instructions. Just a few steps, the old password was removed.
4. Setting new password.
