I really need help. Ok, so here's my problem. I have 2009 Emachine Vista computer, my computer was always a bit slow but nothing as major as it is now. I think we have a virus or a Trojan somewhere on our computer because it immediately became super slow like 2 days ago. I thought "well if it's a virus, I'll just download some antivirus programs and antispyware" but it wasn't that simple because everytime I try to install malwarebytes and any other computer program that gets rid of viruses and spyware it will say "Regristy key missing or something like an error" and it does that on any good free virus protection downloads. So it's like I'm screwed because I don't know anything about registry keys, can somebody help me? And tell me what can I do? It's like I'm stuck with a slow computer.

Also, now when I get on youtube the videos will run really really really slow, and sometimes the video will be moving in slow motion, it didn't use to do that so I know I'm dealing with a virus. So the question is "What can I do about this registry key problem and fix it once and for all?" If you know anything about computers PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write me back immediately it's really frustrating!!

Run rkill, rkill shuts down malware so you can install/update programs again. It's a small executable no need to install.

When you have finished messing around with useless freebies, get AVG Internet Security, you have to pay for it but it will save much angst, you get all this with it, Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, Anti Spam,Firewall, Link Scanner, Resident Shield, Family Safety, Live Kive, Email Scanner,Update Manager, Online Shield,Anti Rootkit, System Tools, PC Analyser, have to pay extra for this, not much use anyway, Identity Protection. Why not download the trial?

Try this:

Firstly, boot your computer to the Safe Mode menu screen. You do this by repeatedly pressing F8 as soon as you boot up. Once there, use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode with Networking. Continue to boot from there, by pressing Enter.

If that's successful, download and run TDSSKiller.exe from Kaspersky Lab. It's tiny, and takes just a minute to run. It hunts down and kills a specific family of rootkits. Here's a link:

You could also try right-clicking on your Malwarebytes' icon, then select Run as... Current user.

Hope this helps.

Run CCleaner. It cleans your laptop of previous records and your registry as properly. I certainly have used it weekly for years and it somewhat is the proper software. CCleaner is loose. Did you run each and every thing in secure mode? If no longer do this as properly.
