I do not know what happened, but I got some kind of malware.

A little green shield in my tray with a check mark on it and it says "Antispyware Soft"

Here's the kicker.

I have downloaded multiple spyware removals and it will not let me open anything.

It keeps saying "Cannot open "said file" "Would I like to activate software"

I cannot open system restore, any anti spyware program. Nothing

I can only access the internet and open programs not associated with removing spyware, etc..

I have no idea how to remove this when it will not allow me to open any program to remove it.

Isn't this illegal for this company to do this?

Please do not answer telling me to go download malwarebytes, etc..

I have, but I can't open any of them..

Experts, How do I get this crap off my computer?

Open Internet Explorer>Click on the Tools menu>select Internet Options>click on the Connections tab>click on the LAN settings button>Uncheck the checkbox labeled Use a proxy server for your LAN under the Proxy Server section>press OK.

Then u can surf online.

I had this malware two months ago and used this guide.

And I finally removed it with spyware cease.

Its Online Scan is really powerful.

Reboot ur pc>press F8 into safe mode with network>run Online Scan of spyware cease (it updates every half hour)>remove it after the scan.

Furthermore, it can protect you from future infections.

This site offers step by step removal guide.

Note: Please enter safe mode>download its correction script>run it to correct your registry first.

Step by step instructions for FREE removal of AntiSpyware Soft.

1. Restart your computer. As your computer restarts but before Windows launches, tap "F8" key constantly. Use the arrow keys to highlight the "Safe Mode with Networking" option and then press ENTER.

2. Open Internet Explorer. Click on the Tools menu and then select Internet Options.

3. In the the Internet Options window click on the Connections tab. Then click on the LAN settings button.

4. Now you will see Local Area Network (LAN) settings window. Under Proxy Settings, click the Advanced button, and delete the IP address listed there, and press OK. Uncheck the checkbox labeled Use a proxy server for your LAN under the Proxy Server section and press OK.

5. Download SuperAntiSpyware Free edition at http://www.superantispyware.com/ . Perform a quick scan and quarantine everything. It will tell you it has to reboot which is fine to do in normal mode this time.

6. Now back in normal mode, run SAS again, this time doing a complete scan. You should now be rid of this annoying malware. Quarantine anything it finds, and then go to your quarantine log and remove (delete) all quarantined items.

7. Sometimes the trojan that installed this annoying thing also installs a browser hijacker which will cause google and yahoo search items to mysteriously redirect to advertised sites. The only way to get rid of this was with Combofix which you can find at http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe .

Download this and run it (have patience).

8. Many antivirus applications that failed to detect this thing in the first place (I use AVG) become inactivated by the virus and may need to be reinstalled. I recommend a complete uninstall/reinstall to make sure that it's back working again.

Note: Even though you do say "Please do not answer telling me to go download malwarebytes, etc.." you need to follow these instructions to work with MBAM, because it works differently than in regular mode.

Boot into safe mode on Windows for an easy way to remove this problem. As the computer is booting up from being off keep tapping the F8 key at the top of your keyboard. After you press it enough a black screen with white text will come up with "Advanced Windows Boot Options". What you are going to want to choose with the arrow keys on the keyboard is "Safe Mode with Networking", once it is highlighted press the enter key. "WITH NETWORKING" is very crucial here. Once you press enter a bunch of white text will start going up the screen, don't pay any attention to it.

Once Windows loads it will present you with a normal log on screen or will take you to your desktop. It will tell you you are in Safe Mode and ask if you want to continue. Press continue. After everything is loaded, go ahead and open up Internet Explorer (or whatever web browser you use) and go to http://www.malwarebytes.org. Once here, click on download free version, it'll take you to the major geeks website click on the download link. Once you download this file to your machine, install it, run it, let the program do the auto update, and do a quick scan with Malware Bytes Anti-Malware (the program you just installed).

You'd be amazed how much stuff this free little program will find. After it finishes, click on remove selected (it will automatically select everything it finds) and then wait till it finishes up. It will probably tell you some items couldn't be removed and needs to restart, allow it to restart your machine, don't touch anything, and then when Windows comes back up it will auto remove anything else it couldn't before. Windows will start normally, and your machine should be clean!!

Ok, well you should try Safe Mode (F8) on boot.

Then you should try Avast! Anti Virus, and Malware Bytes.

You should also try renaming the setups and/or the filenames of malware bytes.

Hope I helped.
