I have two computers with Windows XP. I do updates myself on a weekly basis. My office computer finds updates and installs them. My laptop, which has exactly the same version of Windows, Pack3.....always comes up with Zero Updates. What's going on?

Maybe you have additional windows programs on the office computer. I checked off the items I didn't want updated one time and rarely get an update anymore unless there is a big one for XP. I run update weekly--after Tuesday which is supposed to be the big update release date. After it does the Express search, I use arrow back and run the Custom search, too. I got 0 updates a few minutes ago.

You laptop probably set to receive the updates automatically.

Hence, whenever it connects to the internet and updates are available, it downloads the updates automatically without notice.

Check your Windows update configurations to make sure about it.
