Need to download the latest version of Internet Explorer but can't find secure Microsoft website?

I've downloaded the latest version to my desktop ready to be installed but I'm not comfortable installing in because it never came from an encrypted source. I've tried accessing Microsoft.com using https but it returns an error. I can't believe a site like Microsoft hasn't got ssl encryption for it's downloads... That's beyond madness if correct and it leaves people wide open phishing attacks.

BTW, I can't use automatic updates at the moment otherwise I would use this source.

So, does anyone know a link to a secure version of Microsoft's website?

Go to the microsft website.

click on sign in,

after you have signed in

you should be taken back to the page you was on,

if you get taken back to the correct page,

and you can see at the top of the page

that you are signed in,

then you will be on a safe download page.

BOIE9_ENUS_BO0085_VIS

Are you definite you went this route? On web explorer, click on on tools/web choices/safety/limited sites Then copy and paste the deal with of the website you need to block into the box that says add this internet site to the zone click on on add shut out and you might be completed Some best free packages that you need to use (i do know you said you failed to need to down load something, however i would recommend you are trying them for better protection) are: spyware Blaster Spybot S&D replace them and run them, it is going to eliminate many web sites that have trojans, viruses etc. Just right luck
