I 've been using Commodo firewall (free) for awhile but I am thinking of switching back to zonealarm firewall, the reason is because i am finding Commodo firewall has too many filters and questions that they ask , it seems like they ask tons of questions which some of them i don't even know what they are and i feel all these extra security has been lagging my connection behind ?

I know Zonealarm Firewall is much more simpler but do you think that makes it not as competent as Commodo and will have vulnerabilities issues than Commodo Firewall ? I have been using Zonealarm firewall for 4 years never really had a problem if I can recall. It's just that I heard all this hype about Commodo Firewall so that's why I switched it lol , but f*ck it's like everytime you use it it's like you're passing some maximum national security test or something . recently it ask some of those "accept / block " questions again with some technical networking IP terms involving the "system" file and of cos I don't know what to do, so i just follow it's recommendation: "it's better to block it". so what happen afterwards I can't even use Youtube , it's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, even other streaming websites.

That's why Commodo is too technical for the average user. Do you guys know any report comparing Zonealarm Firewall's capability to Commodo Firewall ? Should I switch back to Zonealarm ?

Well Zone Alarm fire wall is the BEST firewall i have ever seen; Simple setup, easy to use, game mode But Commodo is good for advanced/pro operators and it's safer than zone alarm.

Why you don't try Online Armor ? umm? :3

You're totally correct: Cfw is way to robust for the average user; strictly a propeller head firewall.

All security measures and applications should fit the person "wearing" it: if you can't work with it, what's the benefit?

YOU are the best comparative opinion. Many technical sites evaluate things based on the writers experience and background (and it's usually extensive), and I've yet to see one that said "Our test used a housewife from Hoboken, New Jersey to make these conclusions".

Use the one that's comfortable.

Note Zone Alarm no longer functions for 'Guest Accounts', which may pose some problems for you.
