We used to have dial-up and had no problem working with our money files on Microsoft Money while off line. Now with the high speed DSL, I'm online all the time. I scared to work on my personal money files while online. Should I be?

Even after you shut the program down, those money files are still on you pc and accessable to hackers. Even if you save those files to you disk and keep those offline there are still data files maintained on the machine that hackers, virus' and trojans can get to that you dont know about.

Best bet is to make sure you have a router/firewall that is a 1st layer to defense, keep anti-virus up to date, keep a good spyware program up to date and turn on the Microsoft auto update feature.

i always shut my dsl off when im done, i know you can leave it on. but why do that when their are bugs that come in? so yeah i would recamend doing that and keeping them on a disk for a backup always. that way you can check and make sure nothin has been tampered with.

you should not have to. especially if u have good security. if you don't then you might want to buy a good anit-virus. one that also has cookies it's program, so you can delete the cookies, when you done
