I turned my computer on this morning and it is infected with system security software. It will not let me open anything but internet explorer. Is there any way to remove this. I can't open task manager or anything.

download some antispyware on another computer and then copy the install to the infected pc on usb drive or smth like that. you can also delete system security manually: http://www.spywarevoid.com/system-security-removal-guide-remove-system-security.html simply follow the removal tutorial. since you can't access task manager, i suggest removing the infection in a safe mode.

OH i like this infection seen it before.
boot in safe mode first.then go into IE and download ESET Anitvirus or smart security trail or pay for it.Next install and update then scan.If the problem goes away you are fine if not move on to 'Step 2'.
If you have a bootable disc use it.or you can get it at avira antivir website tools you need a blank CD to burn into it then restart computer put the CD in it then it will scan........After that you will have a clean pc but not yet la.follow the step 1 again and you are finish.
IF the problem is still there then all i have to say is GG(Good Game).
you have to reinstall your windows by your windows xp or vista CD.

try and get into your system bios that's where it all hides check if anything is corrupted of damaged in anyway which could prevent you from opening several programs and if you can get inside the protected system files it may be lurking there and just change the code and your computer should be working again, the files are located in separate places on different operation systems.

in the adventure that your laptop is carefully unoperable and you're actually unable to do something by any means then i could advise going into BIOS and set your boot sequence to CD-ROM because of the fact the 1st boot gadget. deploy your restoration disk or OS disk. Restart your laptop and persist with training to reformat your puzzling force (and reinstall living house windows) or restoration living house windows. I even have continuously in basic terms reinstalled living house windows at that factor, although. I in basic terms had to do the same ingredient on my wifes laptop via same reason. can not harm to commence with a sparkling, sparkling version of living house windows. solid luck!
