A few days ago I was on facebook on my alienware aurora Windows 7 64 bit when windows defender opened and asked if I wanted to make a certain program runable (I don't remember exactly) but I clicked ok thinking that it was just a java program. All of a sudden, Mcafee pops up and says it removed 2 trojans, but then the computer just shut off.
I turned it on but it went to system repair which never fixed anything, but came up with the error message "C:ci.dll is corrupt or missing" and from further research I suspect it is a trojan.
I can't run in safe mode, but I can run without driver sig verification however in that I can't open up any .exe applications. I also downloaded TDSSkiller.exe on a flash drive and plugged it into the infected computer on driver sig verification disabled mode and I clicked on it but it didn't run. I ran sfc/scannow and it said that I had files that were corrupt but it couldn't fix it. I restored it to a month ago, that didnt work either. Nothing is working! HOW CAN I FIX THIS DARN THING WITHOUT SPENDING MONEY OR HAVING TO REUPLOAD WINDOWS? HELP!!!

That's a really bad Trojan. You can try running an Anti-Virus, but it may be undetectable by it.

The best I could say to do is start your computer in Safe Mode. If you are running Windows, restart your computer and hit F8. Run Safe Mode and try to find the files and remove them.

Another could be to restore the it back to the previous day. Hopefully you've had a few days backed up that you would be able to go back to in case something like this would ever happen. You could also do a Factory Restore by hitting F11 at the restart screen. It will wipe everything off your computer and bring it back to day 1.

If that doesn't help or if you're afraid of loosing important files I'd say take it to a friend that knows a lot about computers. It would cost a lot if you'd take it to Geek Squad. Unless you have $100+ laying around.

Check out this link for some more information about it. Good luck getting rid of that, if you can! Viruses are a pain.

Go to Google.CoM and Type the name of the file like this: "File Download" and then just add it to the components folder of where it is missing

search your dll file here:

http://www.dll-files.com

but installing a fresh Windows is a better option..

1 more thing, when your problem is solved, do this>
